NYC Hotel Deals

There are hundreds of hotels to choose from in Manhattan. There are really so many Manhattan hotels that it can be hard to know which hotel to choose for your trip to the “city that never sleeps.” So I’m sharing this article which features 5 of the best hotels in New York, New York to help you find what you’re looking for.

Omni Berkshire Place has a wonderful location very close to the Rockefeller Center. It has overwhelmingly positive reviews as would be expected for a 4 star hotel like Omni Berkshire Place. But this is not the place to make your reservations at if you are looking for a discount because a Saturday night reservation this summer will cost over $400. If you are one of those people that has to bring their pets with them on vacation then you’ll be pleased to know this hotel is indeed pet friendly.

The Four Seasons Hotel on 57th Street is a fabulous luxury hotel that has rooms with wonderful views of Central Park available. This is an exceedingly fancy 5 star hotel. In fact, it is so that it makes Omni Berksire Place look like a cheap hotel in comparison. To stay here you’ll likely spend about $1000/night.

Greenwich Hotel is located in Greenwich Village and it’s a great place to stay for intelligent travelers who want to stay in one of the more interesting parts of Manhattan. This is quite a popular hotel so reservations should be made quickly if you want to secure your room.

If you can’t afford to spend a fortune on a hotel but you would still like to stay at a great location in Manhattan then you may want to stay at the “Presidential” Best Western near Times Square! Don’t get your hopes up too high, it is definitely not too cheap but by NYC standards less than $300/night is thought to be “discount.”

The Gershwin Hotel located at 7 East 27th Street is aimed at young bohemian types who cool with the idea of spending the night in a dorm style hotel and who are very poor. You can stay here for very low cost (less than $50/night!) but for that price you have to share space with other people. Not suitable for travelers who need privacy.

Regardless of which hotel you make your online reservations at, you should really consider ordering a New York Pass because it saves you a lot of time & money when it comes to NYC tourist activities like Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum.

Discount Hotel: La Quinta Inn Manhattan

New York Hotel Deals

La Quinta Inn Manhattan located at 17 West 32nd Street is a quality discount hotel with a really great location and really when you’re searching for hotels in Manhattan the most primary concern is the location!

This hotel is very close to Madison Square Garden (home of the Rangers and the Knicks and many great concerts), the Empire State Building, and the Manhattan Mall. It is also close to a lot of fantastic restaurants, most obviously all of the excellent Korean restaurants that are right next door! If you have not tried Korean BBQ before then you get a real treat; it’s mouthwateringly delicious.

The closeness of this hotel to Madison Square Garden makes it a great place to stay if you are in town to see an NBA or NHL game or a big name concert at the legendary arena. By having a hotel near MSG you won’t have to concern yourself about how many beers you have!

The madness of Times Square is just 10 short blocks up (you will find that “short blocks” are streets and the “long blocks” are avenues in NYC.)

The hotel is also a short walk to the subway so you can easily make your way to all parts of NYC without spending a bunch on a taxi or walking for miles! Of course there’s no shortage of things to do in New York City so I won’t even attempt to start listing them.

If you want to do a lot of tourist activities then I would suggest reading this New York Pass Review to see if it is something that would save you time and money  during your time in NYC.

While La Quinta Inn Manhattan is not a five star hotel, it does have all of the basic amenities that you really need to have during your visit to NYC including 24 hour security, indoor parking, and temperature control along with some bonuses like cable television (but you really shouldn’t be watching cable TV when you’re visiting the most thrilling city in America.)
